Game of Death (or G.O.D.)

First to death, wins! Design your own character then start the game with the choice of two routes depending on the roll of the dice. One route excelerates you through a poverty-stricken childhood or you may doodle through a healthy upbringing. Bad life experiences propel you forwards whilst the good times hold you back. You can collect habits, like drinking during teens, which may kill you off in the end if you land on the appropriate square. On other squares you are invited to write down positive or negative personal experiences or your aspirations. At the end of the game you have the option to choose your invented death or select one of the top ten UK natural causes.

Adapted from “The Game of Life” with new illustrations and in opposition to the capitalist objective where the person with the most money wins, this game reflects life experiences and faces existential questions.
